Synths Synths Synths

When I started working on this project, I played around with my old Yamaha CS2X, a Korg Volca Bass and Volca Synth for a while, but once I got my hands on a Korg Minilogue I had found what I was looking for. Most of the synth sounds are from the Minilogue, there are one or 2 classic vintage plug in synths amongst it all (just can’t afford the real thing), but the Minilogue is a beautiful little machine.

I was born in the 80’s and musically I caught the end of that decade. It inspired me to write melodies and lyrics under a bridge on the North Coast of NSW. I was a bit of a loner child, I wonder if my mum ever wondered where I was going with my note book? It would be a decade later when friends would give me the belief to actually do something with music. I was easily led when I was young, but on the whole I found my own musical influences, even if sometimes it was others that introduced me to bands and artists. My love of synths was seeded there.  I’m a novice synth enthusiast, but surely that is half the fun of it right?
